Why not get into the Christmas spirit a little early at your favorite cafe?
This winter, vegan cafe “mumokuteki cafe KYOTO” in Kyoto’s Nakagyo Ward is introducing “Noël Chocolat with Soybean Coffee Ice Cream.”
Available from Monday, November 2, through Friday, December 25, 2026.
This special Christmas dessert pairs a rich vegan chocolate cake with the soybean coffee ice cream previously served alongside the cafe’s soybean coffee jelly.
“Noël Chocolat” features multiple layers of cashew-based chocolate cream and cocoa sponge cake. Made entirely with plant-based ingredients, it offers a rich, smooth flavor.
This seasonal treat is made without dairy, eggs, or other animal-derived ingredients and finished with festive Christmas colors. Take your time savoring the combination of chocolate cream and sponge cake.
The cake is served with the soybean coffee ice cream guests have come to know from the cafe’s soybean coffee jelly dessert. Even if you usually enjoy it with jelly, this is a chance to discover a new pairing.
The cool, melt-in-your-mouth ice cream brings out the gentle sweetness of the rich chocolate cake. Try a bite of each on its own, then enjoy the cake and ice cream together. The contrasting temperatures and textures are part of what makes this dessert special.
Operated by Human Forum Co., Ltd., “mumokuteki cafe KYOTO” offers a menu that accommodates a variety of dietary choices, guided by its concept of “a place where you can dine with peace of mind.”
Noël Chocolat was created with the hope that everyone could enjoy Christmas together at the same table. Whether you are taking your usual cafe break or spending time with someone special, it is a lovely way to savor the season.
